In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Moroni stood up for his beliefs, his people, and his God when a man named Amalickiah desired to be king of the land and sought to destroy the Church of God.
After hearing these things, Moroni prayed “that the cause of the Christians, and the freedom of the land might be favored” (Alma 46:16). As he traveled waving the title of liberty, a banner stating their righteous cause, more believers of Jesus Christ followed his efforts and joined the cause, outnumbering the Amalickiahites.
When others did not originally stand, Moroni stood up for his belief and faith in God. As he did so, others followed and found the strength to stand up for their faith as well.
When we place our trust in God’s plan and stand fast in our faith, God provides us with the blessings of liberty and peace.
How do you stand fast in your faith?
