Crank It Up: Japan

Gene Simmons rocked the Hard Rock cafe in Hollywood, FL and donated the bass he played that night to help raise money for Japan.

Gene Simmons of KISS, one of the most recognized and influential rock bands in rock and roll history, donated his famous Punisher bass guitar to Hard Rock Cafe at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood during an intimate press conference on March 17th. The guitar will be added to the property’s legendary memorabilia collection. Simmons will perform will the donated guitar for the last time at tonight’s concert at Hard Rock Live during the band’s five encore songs. Hard Rock International in conjunction with Gene Simmons will make a donation to the Red Cross to benefit relief efforts in Japan through the company’s Crank It Up initiative.

Bret Michaels Helps Launch Pinktober 2013

In what has become an annual event, Bret Michaels took over Velvet Sessions at Hard Rock Hotel Orlando and helped launch Pinktober, Hard Rock’s signature breast cancer awareness campaign. Brett, the incredible crowd, and all of the hard-working Hard Rockers in attendance join forces with musicians and fans around the world to raise awareness and funds for local and international breast cancer foundations.

John Lennon owned this camera in the ’60s. Can you imagine the pics he took with it? Some people even think that he might’ve used the camera to take the self-portrait of he and Yoko for the infamous “Two Virgins” album cover.
