What has our attention determines what we reflect.

Your breaking is not punishment. It’s preparation.

Touré Roberts discusses what God is doing in Israel’s wilderness wanderings in Deuteronomy Chapter 8. They think they are being punished, but what they don’t understand is that the wilderness is a place of development. God is teaching them humility, building dependence, and preparing them for something they’ve never experienced.

What does your wilderness look like? When God humbles you, He’s protecting you from pride. When He causes you to hunger, He’s repositioning your appetite from stuff to substance.
