“They know that they were robbed by one man”: Defense attorney Kevin Reddington says his client Lindsay Clancy and her family are “not good” after a judge declared a mistrial. He expresses criticism towards one male juror that is said to have been a holdout against an acquittal.
In a newly unsealed grand jury indictment, Nick Reiner is alleged to have laid in wait before murdering his parents Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner at the Brentwood, Calif., home on Dec. 14. The indictment, publicly released Aug. 12, alleges the 32-year-old “personally used a deadly or dangerous weapon,” identified as a knife, and includes special circumstance allegations of multiple murders and murder by means of lying in wait. Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder after the indictment was unsealed, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman. He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a knife in the killings. If convicted as charged, Nick could face life in state prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, though prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty. He is due back in court Sept. 15 for a pretrial hearing. E! News has reached out to Nick’s attorney for comment but has not heard back. Sean “Diddy” Combs is spending some alone time in prison. As the rap mogul continues to serve his four-year sentence for prostitution-related charges, he was sent to solitary confinement after being involved in a fight at the New Jersey federal prison, according to multiple outlets citing sources with knowledge of the matter. The altercation allegedly occurred when another inmate at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution made a remark to Combs, leading to the fight and the rapper’s subsequent placement in solitary confinement, one source told ABC News. E! News has reached out to reps for Combs and Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution for comment and has not yet heard back. A rep for the low-security prison has indicated they would not be providing additional information about the incident. “We are not at liberty to disclose or provide internal information pertaining to any inmate in our custody,” the spokesperson said in a statement to TMZ. “Such information would not be available for the public domain.” The fight comes more than one month after the 56-year-old’s release date was moved up for the fourth time, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records viewed by E! News. While he was initially set to be released May 8, 2028, his timeline was most recently updated to Feb. 23, 2028. Charlie Kirk’s accused killer Tyler Robinson confessed three times to murdering the conservative leading light, according to a bombshell video from Robinson’s trans lover — including after he sneaked back to their Utah love nest.
Lance Twiggs, who was seen speaking publicly for the first time Thursday in a pre-recorded deposition, told investigators he awoke the day after the Sept. 10 assassination to Robinson walking around their apartment, before he broke down and declared he “wishes he hadn’t done it” and that he was about to turn himself in.

Days after a third alleged letter was sent with information about Nancy Guthrie’s kidnapping, an FBI official and a second law enforcement source confirmed to Reuters that all three were inauthentic. The official—who spoke with Reuters on the condition of anonymity—said, “None of the ransom notes are believed to be genuine.” Savannah Guthrie’s 84-year-old mother was reported missing from her home in the Catalina Foothills near Tucson, Arizona, in February. Two letters were sent to NBC news’ Arizona affiliate KOLD news director Jessica Bobula, with the first demanding cryptocurrency for the release of Nancy, three people familiar with the situation told NBC News. The second did not include an apology or ask for money, according to the outlet. Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1433531/nancy-guthrie-case-3-kidnapping-ransom-notes-are-fake-fbi-source-says

A judge slammed ex-IRS special agent Brendan Banfield as pure “evil” as she sentenced him to life behind bars without parole Friday for killing his wife and a sex-seeking stranger in a twisted plot he cooked up with his Brazilian au pair lover. The 40-year-old former fed stared ahead stoically as Chief Judge Penney Azcarate handed down the sentence — after he gave a bizarre statement whining that he’s “disappointed in the legal system” and insisting he’s “not responsible” for the murder.

Two days after James Handy was fatally stabbed outside a home in Tarzana, Calif. on June 3, Michael Gledhill, the son of Handy’s girlfriend, was charged with his murder. Gledhill was charged with fatally stabbing the actor outside his mother’s home in Tarzana, Calif., on June 3, according to a June 5 press release from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office. The 44-year-old was charged with one count of murder “with a special allegation that he personally used a deadly weapon, a knife.” L.A. County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman reflected on Handy’s death in the press release, saying, “This is not how anyone’s life should end, stabbed in the chest and left dying in the front yard of a home.” Handy— who starred in Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, ER, The West Wing, The Practice, Alias and more— was 81. UPDATE: The ‘Virgin River’ actor has been confirmed dead, as investigators said they found his remains in Lions Bay, British Columbia, Canada, according to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) per CBC. He was 45. According to the Squamish Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the actor was reported missing on May 18. The following day, authorities shared in a press release that they were “very concerned for Stewart’s health and well-being” after he was last seen at his home in Lions Bay, British Columbia, Canada on May 15. However, in a May 21 press release the RCMP stated they are transitioning the ongoing missing person investigation over to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT). “Squamish RCMP initiated an investigation,” the press release said, “and, through investigative efforts, uncovered evidence that led investigators to believe Mr. McLean was victim of homicide.” McLean—who was often credited as Stew McLean—had been working steadily as an actor since 2015, most recently guest starring as a barfly on Netflix’s ‘Virgin River.’ The 45-year-old had also appeared on ‘Arrow,’ ‘Supernatural’ and ‘The Irrational.’ Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1432279/virgin-rivers-stewart-mclean-missing-believed-to-be-homicide-victim
