Sherry Brandenburg woke up not feeling quite right on the morning of July 31, 2017. Little did she know, later that day she would be in critical care and treated for a stroke. When the time came to choose where she’d receive her inpatient rehabilitation care, she knew without hesitation she wanted to come to Franciscan Health. As a patient on the inpatient rehabilitation unit at Franciscan Health Indianapolis, she learned the importance of compassion, hope and care. Sherry wanted to give those things back to other stroke survivors and does so by volunteering on the inpatient rehabilitation unit.
