Protesters interrupt Treasury Secretary Bessent at hearing

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s opening remarks before the House Financial Services Committee were interrupted several times by anti-war protesters. Bessent has been leading the administration’s efforts to squeeze Iran economically. He recently launched “Operation Economic Outcast,” which has resulted in more sanctions being placed on entities that allegedly have ties to Iran.
