Crank It Up: Japan

Gene Simmons rocked the Hard Rock cafe in Hollywood, FL and donated the bass he played that night to help raise money for Japan.

Gene Simmons of KISS, one of the most recognized and influential rock bands in rock and roll history, donated his famous Punisher bass guitar to Hard Rock Cafe at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood during an intimate press conference on March 17th. The guitar will be added to the property’s legendary memorabilia collection. Simmons will perform will the donated guitar for the last time at tonight’s concert at Hard Rock Live during the band’s five encore songs. Hard Rock International in conjunction with Gene Simmons will make a donation to the Red Cross to benefit relief efforts in Japan through the company’s Crank It Up initiative.

HARD ROCK CAFE FITUR 2018

HARD ROCK CAFE was featured at the 38th edition of FITUR: International Tourism Trade Show in Madrid in January 2018.

The event featured a Hard Rock Booth for meetings and networking. Entertainment & PR by Antonio Albella, showman and ex- pop star: he who brought a touch of fun & interaction along the business meetings!

The after party took place at Hard Rock Cafe Madrid. Travel Agencies and Partners enjoyed food, open bar, photocall & entertainment.

Live music was provided by Young Forest: folk / country band who were the 2017 Hard Rock Rising Madrid winners.

2019 Battle of the Bands MASHUP

We teamed up with Pepsi this year to find unsigned local artists from six cities across the globe, bringing three finalists from Brazil, Scotland and the USA together in NYC where they competed for the title. All three bands were taken on a once in a lifetime tour of iconic spots in NYC. While Glasgow’s Moonlight Zoo won bragging rights, and $15k to help them follow their dreams, all three groups made memories that will last a lifetime.

Jeff Nolan, Hard Rock’s resident historian and all-around music nerd, sits down with Kip Elder, one of the best luthiers in the country, to talk about some of the pieces from Hard Rock’s memorabilia collection.

Here, Jeff and Kip show off one of the guitars that Pete Townshend used at Woodstock. Rebuilt after being smashed (multiple times?) by Townshend, the guys get downright nerdy.
