Notes:
* With limited exceptions (national heroes Tal and Keres), players flags represent the national team they most recently represented as an elite player.
* Players who were at any point the youngest chess grandmaster of all time, have their titled age given in month, year, and day. All other players show the age in years that they earned the title.
* For most players pre-1990, the titled age is given as the first day of the month in which the FIDE congress was held that year. For players who achieved records, more specific dates in which they completed title norms are available and used.
