Tre9, Bun B, and Brian Angel (formerly Day 26) collaborate for Tre9’s album, Missionary Minded to send a message of hope to youth and a call to action for adults. In today’s digital world youth are moving at a faster pace than ever. With the ability to record and post videos for the world to see, we are witnessing everything from real youth violence and sex plastered across youtube, facebook and other social networks. As Tre states in the song, “I think it’s time we get up, take a stand for our youth, instead of watching the news shaking your head go teach’em truth,” this song brings with it the accountability and motivation adults need to become mentors in society.
