You are God’s beloved child. So is the person next to you in unity, the person facing you in conflict, the person at your head in the workplace, and the person at your feet on the city street. Jesus Christ gave his life for all humanity to save us from ourselves—to save you from your sins and your neighbors from theirs.

We’re each indebted to the Lord for all that we have, and we each depend on him for all that we need. When we cry out unto him for his mercy and support, he answers. And when his children cry out unto us for mercy and support, we must answer.

You have talents, skills, and resources. You came to earth to develop the divine capacity to love and forgive your fellow beings the way our Redeemer has loved and forgiven you. Someone within your influence needs it more than you realize. Be brave. Reach out and provide! Then take a step forward and reach further. Change the world, one life at a time. It will change you into a true disciple and a reflection of Christ.

Unspeakable Joy | Changed Through Jesus Christ

It is an essential part of our earthly education to discover the unspeakable joy that the Lord can provide and to learn proper revulsion for the empty indulgences of this world. Satan’s spoils are poison to our souls. “Wickedness never was happiness” (Alma 41:10).

How long will it take for us to learn this vital lesson? If we allow pride to be our guide, we will waste much time and endure much suffering of our own design before we come to understand. But if we humble ourselves and turn back quickly, we will find redemption through Jesus Christ and avoid those hidden snares which the adversary prepared for us along the dark road ahead.

Ethan was humble! He saw the approaching storms in front of him. He noticed the light of Christ beaming over his shoulders. At an early age, he chose the love of God, and he turned around.

Whatever you’re going through today—whether it’s a consequence of your spiritual stumbles or just a circumstance that has you sitting in the rubble of painful past experiences—your Heavenly Father loves you. His Son Jesus Christ, your Brother and your Shepherd, is steadfastly seeking you. The Holy Ghost is calling out to you. God intends to heal you, to grant you joy in this life, and to bring you safely home to His presence when your earthly mission is complete.

If you find yourself staring into a dark abyss, look over your shoulder. The light of Christ is beaming! He is seeking you. There is nothing you’ve done nor anything you’re enduring that He cannot heal. Turn around and walk into His embrace.
