Beyoncé shared a powerful tribute on her website to Dolly Parton after the legendary singer’s death at age 80. “Dolly, you were the barometer,” Beyoncé wrote in a statement shared on her website Aug. 25. “The north star. Bold and brilliant. Talented and tenacious. You taught so many lessons on how to be uniquely oneself. I am grateful for your art, your heart, your generosity, your humor, your entrepreneurship. Dollywood Theme Park’s Fate Revealed After Dolly Parton’s Death | E! News

Following the death of Dolly Parton on Aug. 25, the Dollywood Parks and Resorts president addressed the future of the theme park. “This is a really heavy day for all of us here at Dollywood Parks and Resorts,” Eugene Naughton began his Aug. 26 video address. “We’ve been dealing with the news of our Dreamer in Chief passing, and I want to speak directly to you to make sure you realize that she’s alive and well here.” Naughton also assured fans that the beloved Tennessee theme park she helped build will continue carrying out her vision.
