Are you focused on the problem or the promise? If you stay focused on what you don’t like about yourself, it will block the amazing future God has in store. Quit magnifying what’s wrong and start focusing on what God said about you. The Lord said you are one of a kind, with the gifts you need for the race that’s designed for you. It takes the same amount of energy to believe as it does to worry. When you magnify the promises instead of the problems, that’s your faith being released.

You are at your best when you are a little bit nervous. If you could do everything in your own strength, you wouldn’t need faith. Put a demand on your faith and dream a bigger dream. You were not put here to coast through life. God loves you so much He will help you get out of your comfort zone.

One of the greatest tests we all will face is not opposition; it’s time. Will you keep believing when nothing is improving? Will you keep building your ark, acting on God’s promises, being faithful when the sky is still blue?

You have too much talent and potential to get stuck where you are. God will let you be uncomfortable now, so He can bless you later on.

You may have discouraging thoughts telling you what you can’t do. However, if you let those negative comments play in your mind they will keep you from becoming who you were created to be. The enemy will use people to try to keep you from your purpose, even though God put greatness in you. You have to dig down deep and not let other people’s doubts take root in your heart. When God created you, He matched you with your world. You’re a masterpiece made in the image of God with everything you need to achieve your destiny.

You may be facing a situation where you don’t know how it’s going to work out. However, there are some things God doesn’t want you to know. The test comes when you don’t know the answer and don’t see how it’s going to happen. The key is you have to be comfortable not knowing and live in faith. Have the right attitude and allow the Lord to do amazing things in your life. Will you trust God, even when you don’t see how it’s going to happen?

Before you were born, God gave you an assignment, something to accomplish. He’s already lined up the right people, the resources, what doors will open and close. You’re not just wandering through life, hoping to get a good break. You are walking out a divine purpose.

How do you know that the difficulty isn’t going to work for your good? It’s preparing you, or perhaps positioning you, for greater things. Yet, you’re fighting it. How about having a bigger perspective? God is working on things today that you’re going to need twenty years from now.

We don’t know what God is up to. God doesn’t send the storm, but He doesn’t waste anything. He wouldn’t have allowed it if it wasn’t going to work to your advantage. Sometimes it’s not the enemy; it’s God orchestrating things we don’t like to move us into our purpose, to prepare us for what we’re going to need later.

Before you see the blessing, you have to declare it. Get your words in agreement with what God says about you.

You have to pronounce the blessing before you possess the land. Don’t pronounce the problem; that’s going to keep you circling. Start pronouncing your healing, your victory, your children honoring God, your business excelling, peace, new levels.

David defeated Goliath as a teenager. In front of all the older, more experienced people. Esther was a teenager when she went before the King and saved the Jewish people. Timothy led great churches in his youth. Paul said to him, “Timothy, don’t let anyone look down on you because you’re young.” Every age is your best age.

God’s in control of what’s trying to stop you. Every voice says there’s no way, but God is saying you’re still going to reach your purpose. When it’s all said and done, what God promised will still come to pass.

After Paul wrote, I’ve learned to be content, the next verse says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He wrote it in context of keeping our joy, and staying content when things come against us. How can you be happy in a hard place? Through Christ who gives you strength.

The facts are not always going to be on your side. However, God is supernatural and bigger than the limitations of everyday life. Don’t let the facts fool you, when you believe all things are possible. There are times when you have to turn your mind off; sometimes there is no way in the natural world. You serve a supernatural God who is not limited by the facts. One touch of God’s favor can override what people are telling you that you can’t do. God put you on Earth to be free and victorious.

‘And while I’m waiting
I’m not waiting
I know Heaven lives in me.’
The line above, from the song “As It Is” has shown the tension between what we believe, the hope we hold to and the reality of what we sometimes see here and now.
Often waiting seems to hold a sense of lack, of unrest, even fear of the unknown. It’s only when we allow what we face, to be bigger than God, that we become overwhelmed, yet nothing should be stealing our peace.
It’s in these moments that we need to allow the promises of God to dispel the tension of waiting. Rather, our faith should increase and our resolve strengthen because our reality is that we have so much because we have relationship with Jesus.
“…Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people and He will dwell with them. They will be His people and God Himself will be with them and be their God.” (Revelation 21:3-5 NIV)
As Oswald Chambers writes, ‘What shines forth and reveals God in your life is not your relative consistency to an idea of what a saint should be, but your genuine, living relationship with Jesus Christ, and your unrestrained devotion to Him whether you are well or sick. ‘
We aren’t promised a perfect life. We are actually told that in this world we will have trouble, but Jesus said to ‘take heart! For I have overcome the world.‘
There is nothing in our lives, no situation, worry, lack, wait, or loss, that overwhelms God or takes Him by surprise. He is not overwhelmed. Instead, we should allow Him to overwhelm our problem, our thought patterns, and our confessions. When we let Jesus take up residence in His rightful place as King of our lives, we look forward to the ultimate fulfilment of our hope – eternity in the presence of God.
So if you find yourself in a place of lack today, or in a season of waiting, take heart, ‘I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way.’
Reach out to Jesus who has so wondrously reached out to you. Talk to Him, allow Him to overwhelm you with His goodness, and take hold of His promises for you today. His heart is towards you. And whether on this side of eternity or the next, where the waiting meets the promise, you’ve got all you need to sing.
