Dr. James Bicos Rated One of Top Docs by Sports Illustrated_Video

Throughout most of the year, Dr. James Bicos focuses on helping Central Indiana residents overcome orthopedic injuries. But, for a couple of weeks in October, he applied his trade in the high-pressure environment of the Pan American Games.

Dr. Bicos served as the team physician for the U.S. Gymnastics Team in this year’s games, held in Guadalajara, Mexico. In previous years, he has traveled with the team to London and Rotterdam for the World Gymnastic Championships.

Rich mentioned that the iPhone 15 is now available. Amazon announced that Alexa is getting a healthy dose of AI and they have new products and services including Eye Gaze, slimmer Echo Frames with longer battery life, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2nd gen which will feature ambient mode, AI art and the eero Max 7. If you want to try the new Alexa AI experience you can soon say “Alexa, let’s chat” to a supported smart speaker.

Shining Light Through Solid Balls Using Quantum Mechanics—Poisson’s Spot Experiment

In this video I show you how it is possible to shine light through a sphere using the wave-like nature of light. This spot in the center of the shadow of a sphere is called Poisson’s spot or Arago’s spot. It is a result of the diffraction of light around the edges of the sphere that constructively interfere right at the center. Then I show you what it actually looks like to look at the center of poisson’s spot. Does it look like the light is actually going through the ball?
