Nick Reiner Laid in Wait Before Killing Rob & Michele Reiner, DA Says | E! News

In a newly unsealed grand jury indictment, Nick Reiner is alleged to have laid in wait before murdering his parents Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner at the Brentwood, Calif., home on Dec. 14. The indictment, publicly released Aug. 12, alleges the 32-year-old “personally used a deadly or dangerous weapon,” identified as a knife, and includes special circumstance allegations of multiple murders and murder by means of lying in wait. Nick pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder after the indictment was unsealed, according to Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman. He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a knife in the killings. If convicted as charged, Nick could face life in state prison without the possibility of parole or the death penalty, though prosecutors have not yet decided whether to seek the death penalty. He is due back in court Sept. 15 for a pretrial hearing. E! News has reached out to Nick’s attorney for comment but has not heard back. Selena, 33, wore a strapless black dress with lace detailing, as seen in a video posted on her Instagram Stories. Set to Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings,” the footage showed the Only Murders in the Building star applying lipstick from her Rare Beauty line as she sat in the back of a luxury car. Meanwhile, Jack, 42, donned dark brown suit with leather loafers as he stepped out in the Big Apple alongside his older sister Rachel Antonoff, who donned a strapless, pink fringed gown with metallic silver heels and a red handbag. Jack’s ex Lena Dunham, who’s kept a close friendship with Taylor after the couple’s 2017 breakup, was also spotted in formalwear around the same time.
