Rumer Willis Files Emergency Custody Request Against Ex Derek Thomas | E! News

Rumer Willis made an emergency request to a judge asking him to extend her ex Derek Richard Thomas’ supervised visits with their daughter Louetta, 3, accusing him of violating their custody agreement. The filing, obtained by E! News, asks the court to bar Thomas from overnight visits with Louetta until a hearing is held—pausing a transition to unsupervised time a judge approved back in June. Willis alleged Thomas has repeatedly violated their custody terms and shown poor judgment with their daughter. Per the docs, he’s completed only five and a half of his court-ordered supervised visits since they began June 20, which Willis attributes to issues with the nanny that was originally assigned to supervise Thomas’ visits with Louetta. She said the nanny had to stop working due to health issues and that Thomas has refused to accept a replacement nanny. Willis also claimed that Thomas’ “unsafe decisions” were demonstrated by an alleged incident in which he chose to walk two and a half miles in extreme heat with Louetta instead of taking a car, which allegedly involved him trying to cross a five-lane highway with a 55-mph speed limit. Willis was granted primary physical custody in June, with a judge also ordering a custody evaluation. That ruling had set Thomas’ visits to shift to unmonitored overnights this month—the timeline Willis now wants delayed. Judge Declares Mistrial in Lindsay Clancy Case — Defense Makes Last-Ditch Effort to Stop It #shorts

Jurors in the Lindsay Clancy trial told a judge Friday that they are deadlocked for a third time — prompting Judge William Sullivan to declare a mistrial in the killer mom case that has captivated the nation.
However, Clancy’s defense attorney Kevin Reddington immediately made a last-ditch effort to stop the mistrial, asking the judge for what’s called a “stay” of the mistrial.
Sullivan agreed to give the lawyer one hour to seek the stay and stop the case from ending with a hung jury.

Maria Bartiromo Abruptly Departs Fox News After More Than 12 Years | E! News

Maria Bartiromo is headed off air. After more than a decade as an anchor on Fox Business, parent company Fox Media confirmed she had departed the network on Sept. 3. “Effective today, Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media,” the company said in a statement shared online. “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 1/2 years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.” The statement did not supply a reason for the change, but it noted that the final episode of Bartiromo’s daytime series ‘Mornings With Maria’ had aired that morning, and that her Fox News show ‘Sunday Morning Futures,’ will be hosted by Jason Chaffetz this week with a permanent replacement announced at a later date. Her third series, ‘Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,’ which airs on Fridays, will be shifting to FBN’s Wall Street. The series will be hosted this week by Cheryl Casone and will have rotating anchors in the coming weeks, the network said in its news release. E! News reached out to an agent for Bartiromo for comment but has not yet heard back. So far, the 58-year-old has yet to comment publicly on her departure. Bartiromo began her onscreen career with CNBC, before transitioning to Fox in 2014. During her almost 13 years with the network, she interviewed President Donald Trump and moderated two debates during the 2016 presidential election. Following the news of her exit, speculation began to circulate that Bartiromo may be tapped to step into the role of White House Press Secretary after Karoline Leavitt stepped down from the position at the end of August. Clancy’s Defense Lawyer Heavily Accuses Prosecution of ‘Manipulation’ in Closing Argument #shorts

Kevin Reddington has accused prosecutors a few times of “manipulation” in the murder case. He said one example of this, is prosecutors’ argument that Lindsay Clancy held the elastic bands around her kids necks for minutes as they died. Reddington says, Clancy’s then-husband Patrick, testified when he found the kids motionless in the basement, the elastic bands were tied in knots around their necks and he struggled to untie them. “It shows the manipulation,” Reddington said. “This government, this prosecution is a mess, they would take their evidence and argue to you she did not tie the knot and walk away.”
