What Happens When You Put Liquid Nitrogen In A Vacuum Chamber? Disappearing Nitrogen Snow Ball
In this video I put liquid nitrogen in my vacuum chamber in order to make solid nitrogen! The nitrogen evaporates due to the low pressure. This causes the temperature of the liquid nitrogen to drop until it freezes into a solid chunk! This solid is only at about 63 degrees above absolute zero! Then I let the air back in and watch the solid quickly turn to liquid and then into gas. This was simply amazing for me to see!

Can Flies Actually Fly in a Vacuum Chamber?
In this video I put flies in the vacuum chamber to see if they can fly in a low pressure environment. I also show you how I got the flies in the vacuum chamber by lowering their metabolism so that they don’t move at all by putting them in the freezer. Then once in the closed chamber they warm up and come back to life. The less air there is in the vacuum chamber the higher wing speed they need to generate lift. Eventually you get to low enough pressure that the flies cannot lift off the ground! Then I talk about how we could lift off the ground if our atmosphere was as thick as Saturn’s moon Titan.
