Pykrete Made From Toilet Paper Crushed By Hydraulic Press

In this video I crush toilet paper pykrete with a hydraulic press. The pykrete is extremely strong and is very difficult to crush in the hydraulic press. Pykrete is a mixture of sawdust or wood pulp with water. After it is frozen it forms a substance that is about as strong as concrete! It is much stronger than ice and also it doesn’t melt as fast either. In the end I am finally able to break apart the concrete with the hydraulic press by using a smaller head to split it in the hydraulic press.

Stretch Armstrong in a Vacuum Chamber and a Microwave—An Explosive End!

In this video I put Stretch Armstrong in my vacuum chamber with thumbtacks at the top in order to pop it! Before I put it in the vacuum chamber, first I put it in my microwave and talk about how sugar acts in the microwave (since Stretch Armstrong is made of sugar). Then I put the toy in the vacuum chamber while it is still hot and watch it expand and then when it reaches the top it pops! It is really neat to see the corn syrup pour out of it!

Boyle’s Self-Flowing Flask Filled With Polyethylene Glycol (Self-Pouring Liquid) = Perpetual Motion?

In this video I combine Robert Boyle’s self flowing flask with Polyethylene Gycol, the self pouring or self siphoning liquid in order to attempt a perpetual motion flow system. I make the internet version of Boyle’s flask to attempt this then I show the neat properties of the polyethylene glycol. Then talk about how perpetual motion is actually possible with superfluids.

Mixing the World’s Blackest Paint With the World’s Brightest Paint (Black 2.0 vs LIT)

In this video I took your suggestions to see what happens when you mix the brightest (LIT) and the darkest paint (Black 2.0) together! Black 2.0 is the darkest blackest black paint, since vantablack is not a paint technically.Then I test some other audience suggestions like trying to charge LIT with colored light and painting myself with LIT to see if it glows from my heat.

In this video I catch a fly and tie a string to it in order to measure how much weight it can lift! First I slow down their metabolism by cooling them down then I tie a string around it and attach duct tape weights to it in order to see how much it can lift! I was surprised how much it could lift!

Who is Vac-man? It is Stretch Armstrong’s Nemesis that you can lock in place by sucking the air out of him. Due to popular demand, I am putting vacman in the vacuum chamber. This video is actually really neat because vacman gets locked in place when you suck the air out of it. So it is really interesting to see what happens when it is already under vacuum in the vacuum chamber.
