In this video I crush a glass vacuum chamber while it is under vacuum in the hydraulic press. This video is to test out what happens when a glass vacuum chamber breaks. Because of the pressure difference the air rushes in at supersonic speeds accelerating the glass shards. So the glass first implodes but then the pieces hit together causing on explosion! I also film it in slow motion which gives a really neat slow motion glass implosion/explosion. It is really cool to see the marshmallows instantly become crushed by the weight of the atmosphere after the glass breaks.
